Jennifer Aniston Actually

"[I'm] a forgiving person. I absolutely am. I think it's extremely important to forgive. Otherwise it just builds up like toxic waste. There's nothing worse than holding a grudge. Listen, people can do unforgivable things, but you have to let it go and say, 'Look, we're all human beings. We make mistakes.' To hold any kind of resentment is like taking rat poison and waiting for the rat to die."

--Jennifer Aniston tells the truest of truths, and we just can't help but imagine that she's talking about that old situation with Brad Pitt.

Just for the sake of discussion, let's go ahead and say that yes, this is a statement about Brad Pitt cheating on her with Angelina Jolie. Isn't this such a fabulous viewpoint? She's not saying that whatever happened that requires forgiving isn't awful, or that it doesn't hurt, but we all know that if she hadn't forgiven Brad, she obviously wouldn't have been able to move on like she has. That level of resentment would have been too much to bear, and there's no way she could have gone on with so much continued success and a hot new future husband.

So today, you go, Jennifer. You hand out that great advice, and may we all be better for it.
