Wendy Williams About Britney Spears
Wendy Williams possesses this remarkable tendency to be absolutely terrible, but sometimes, she still manages to shock us with just how terrible she can be ... but, sometimes she shakes things up a bit by reaching a whole new low. That's what she did while talking about Britney Spears recently.
Wendy appeared on HuffPost Live yesterday, and the topic of Britney's new boyfriend, Charlie Ebersol, came up, specifically that cute little selfie that Britney posted of the two of them.
About it, Wendy said that "people were saying it's too soon" for her to be posting couple photos, but Wendy thinks it's OK because Britney is "a girl." She's "soft and pink." We're not really sure why this precious picture would be a big deal in the first place, but Britney's a girl, so whatever (?).
But then Wendy goes and says "I smell an opportunist," because Charlie posted the photo to his Instagram, too. And sorry, but no. He's a writer and producer, he has his own career and his own money. And also, he's absolutely adorable. Just look at the picture of him with Britney and try not to smile. It's impossible, right? They both look genuinely happy, and that's something we should celebrate.
But -- and here's where it gets especially bad -- Wendy also said that regardless of his intentions, she doesn't "anticipate this relationship lasting for very much longer" because "Britney's got a tic. She's got issues. And after a while, guys aren't going to want to deal with that. She's got real issues." And that is just a horrible thing to say. Pretty much everyone has some kind of issue, and Britney has shown time and again that she's healthier and happier than she's been in a long time. People with "real issues" can still have relationships, but thanks for the hatefulness anyway, Wendy.
Hey, how's this for an idea: let's just be happy for Britney, who is obviously so happy herself. Wouldn't that be something?
