Love is a battlefield — especially for Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton who abruptly called off their 13-year relationship last week. But according to new reports, 56-year-old Burton has already moved on with his much younger assistant!

“Tim and Helena have been living separate lives for [more than] a year, and since they separated, they have both had other lovers," a source told 'Page Six.' "The separation announcement was made saying they’d split earlier this year, but they have been living apart for much longer.”

Allegedly, the film director is involved in a serious relationship with his production assistant, Berenice Percival, who's worked with him for three years. Considering the seriousness of their relationship leads us to believe these two got together far before the split from Helena, 48, was official.

"Berenice is telling friends that they’re happy, in love and that she sees a future with Tim," a source told 'Daily Mail.' "She refers to Tim as her boyfriend."

Proving there's no bad blood between the two, Helena and Tim spent Christmas together with their two children, Billy Ray, 11, and Nell, 7.
