Iggy Azalea may have become a household name in 2014, but not everything was coming up roses for the rapper this year.

The 24-year-old revealed on New Year's Eve that she's suffering from joint disorder TMJ (Temporomandibular joint dysfunction) which causes pain in the joint and muscles that control your jaw (via the Mayo Clinic).

"...Last month I was diagnosed with TMJ which isn't the best," Iggy wrote on Twitter. "I'm gonna make more of an effort to take care of myself in 2015, stay away from all the drama & hopefully not have any flair ups."

She told fans, "I don't think western medicine all the way acknowledges what a huge toll mental stress takes on our bodies. But I do believe it is a factor."

Despite the setback, she added optimistically, "...I don't think it will ever prevent me from doing anything I want to but it has made me realize it's important to look after yourself."

On a happier note, the Grammy nominee announced that she's continuing work on her second album next week.

"Anxious to get going on it," she wrote, "The excited kind of anxious."

As long as it contains more party-starters like 'Fancy' and 'Beg for It', we're happy!
