Jennifer Aniston Makes a Sad

Hey, have you heard about Jennifer Aniston's new movie, "Cake"? In the film, Jennifer Aniston plays a woman in a chronic pain support group, and one of her fellow group members commits suicide. Additionally, Jennifer's character has some scars on her face, and you know what? She doesn't wear makeup. It seems like kind of a trivial thing to mention, but apparently it isn't, because Jen talked specifically about how great it was to go makeup free:

"[It was] so fabulous, and so dreamy and empowering and liberating. The only time I had to sit in the makeup chair was just for scars ... When I read the script, I was ready to disappear. It was so empowering and liberating to just put scars on my face."

Honestly, it should be that big of a deal to go without makeup, even if it is in a movie, but obviously it is, and how sad is that? Women aren't born with makeup, and it's not like every woman in the world wears it constantly -- it's not strange to not slather your whole entire face with layer after layer of paint like actresses typically do in movies. the way Jennifer talks about it though, you'd imagine that women were so pressured into wearing makeup that it's an actual event to go without, which, tragically, really is the case.

Good for you though, Jen, and congratulations on being gorgeous, fake scars and no face paint and all
