Oh, Nicki Minaj and her "Anaconda" business: we've all heard the song, we've all the seen the video, and we're all so much more familiar with Nicki's ass because of it. But did you know that we're wrong for even acknowledging that? That we shouldn't even be saying anything about it, because we don't know about it?

That's the truth, according to Nicki herself:

“You’re talking about newspeople who don’t even know anything about hip-hop culture. It’s so disrespectful for them to even comment on something they have no idea about. They don’t say anything when they’re watching the Victoria’s Secret show and seeing boobs and thongs all day. Why? Shame on them. Shame on them for commenting on “Anaconda” and not commenting on the rest of the oversexualized business we’re a part of.”

OK, there are a few issues with all that. For one, people don't comment as much on Victoria's Secret shows because it's a show about lingerie. You expect to see lots of cleavage and backsides when a lingerie company is advertising bras and underwear, a lot more than you expect to see so much of those things in the world of music. For two, people absolutely comment on "the rest of the oversexualized business." Did she miss that whole thing with Miley Cyrus twerking all over the world? Besides, even in this oversexualized business, Nicki's video is still a little over the top. Let's check out some of her lyrics, shall we?
